1. Conceptual Stage: Event Leader

1. Identify need or opportunity to be addressed by a conference, symposia or workshop and identify the target audience.
   
   
2. Identify potential sponsorships.
   
   
3. Alert appropriate department head(s) of ideas and general plans for the event and secure preliminary approvals in conjunction with the Forestry Outreach Education Office through completion of a College of Forestry Outreach Education Event Proposal (Form OE-1). (see Appendix c pdf file)
   
   
4. Form a steering committee to plan and develop the event program.
