A Workshop for Foresters, Christmas Tree Growers, and Conifer Nursery Managers in the Northwest.
Workshop Description
Phytophthora ramorum, cause of sudden oak death, is an invasive
pathogen, subject to quarantine regulation in the United States
and internationally. The workshop goal is to provide up-to-date
information on the threat posed by this disease to Pacific
Northwest forestry, including disease avoidance and direct
control with fungicides. Current quarantine regulations will
be highlighted, along with discussion of potential biological
and regulatory impacts should the disease spread further in
the forest, or from horticultural nurseries.
