Biographical Information about Dave Powers

Dave Powers has worked on natural resource issues for 25 years in the international, national, regional, and local arenas. He was a National Park Service ranger, EPA Headquarters liaison to the Forest Service and BLM, Natural Resource Policy Advisor for EPA Region 10, NEPA reviewer for EPA Region 9, and has worked for the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality on water quality issues. Dave currently does monitoring and restoration in his local watershed, is on the Pacific NW Aquatic Monitoring Partnership steering committee, sits on the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, and is EPA’s Regional Manager for Forests and Rangelands. He has been involved with the NW Forest Plan for over 10 years representing EPA during the God Squad proceedings, on the NW Forest Plan EIS team, in the Regional Ecosystem Office, and on the Regional Interagency Executive Committee. Dave has a B.S. in Natural Resources from Humboldt State University and a Masters in Public Administration from George Washington University.
