Biographical Information about Melinda Moeur

Melinda Moeur is the program leader for late-successional and old-growth effectiveness monitoring under the Northwest Forest Plan. Prior to joining the Interagency Regional Monitoring Program, Melinda was a research forester for the Intermountain and Rocky Mountain Research Stations in Moscow, Idaho. She received an M.S. degree in Forest Resources (University of Minnesota, 1980), and a PhD in Forest Resources (University of Washington, 1991). Her interests include old-growth dynamics, forest vegetation modeling, sampling inference, and remote sensing.
